In this issue of the Bonnes Nouvelles we provide the details about the 2014 Reunion and Annual Membership Meeting in Portland ME?June 12 to June 15. Those of you who have visited Portland, perhaps on the occasion of our 2008 Reunion, know of the city?s many charms. Our Reunion Committee has highlighted many of its scenic places and neat things to do and see while you are there. We thank Cousins Elizabeth Clark and Arden Clarke for making the arrangements. This Reunion will be centered at the Best Western Merry Manor Inn, in South Portland, which is just a few miles north of the upscale and exclusive Delano Park neighborhood. It is very near the location of Barzillia Delano?s blacksmith shop and lies on the south border of park that includes Fort Williams and the iconic Portland Head lighthouse. This is a Reunion you will not want to miss. Also included in this issue are articles about the Federal Reserve Centennial and the DELANO Connection, the early DELANOs of Maine, news about some of our members--as well as new and departed members, the Annual Charitable Drawing, DELANO Board happenings, and a recent book by the well-known photographer, James Whitlock Delano.
