This issue of the Bonnes Nouvelles provides the information about the 2017 DELANO KINDRED Reunion in Charleston, South Carolina (Thursday, 14 September ? Sunday 17 September). We were fortunate that the flooding from Hurricane Irma had subsided. This issue includes articles about the Reunion, including the Genealogical and Educational Symposium, and the Annual Membership Meeting. Also we are very pleased to include about honors our members have received this fall. We have also included an article showing copies of letters received from Joel Andrew Delano by Cousin Carolyn Marcinkowski?s great great grandfather. As we draw towards the end of 2017 we hope you will consider including a donation to the DELANO KINDRED Contribution Program. Contributions to this program are exempted from U.S taxes. GHAAHD "To The Reader" Listing of Significant Errors
We have added a document titled "TO THE READER" to the web site. This brief document lists some of the more significant errors that exist in the The Genealogy, History and Alliances of the American House of Delano 1621 to 1899 (GHAAHD) and is intended to accompany that volume. You can access it from the General Information About... Philippe Delano menu item on the right or directly by clicking here. This POST is enabled for member comments, so if you know of additional errors in the GHAAHD that you think should be included in this list, you may post them as a comment; please include your source reference.

This issue of the Bonnes Nouvelles provides updated information about the 2017 DELANO KINDRED Reunion in Charleston, South Carolina (Thursday, 14 September ? Sunday 17 September). Please Note that the current cutoff date for making hotel reservations at the DELANO KINDRED Group rate is 15 August. So start making your plans soon. Also included in this issue is information about the DELANO/DELANOY connection with details about the New Amsterdam-Haarlem Delanoys line that can be traced back to Wervike, Flanders in 1575/6. Information about DELANO KINDRED?s Annual Contribution to the Plimoth Colony as well and article about Elizabeth T. Delano?s paintings that were given to the Town of Fairhaven last May -- and much more. We look forward to seeing you at in Charleston in September. REUNION RESERVATIONS -- DEADLINE IS AUGUST 15, 2017 Remember, you must make reservations for BOTH the Hotel and our Annual Meeting. Please complete both parts 1 and 2 of the forms with a check for the appropriate amount and send them to our Treasurer, Cousin David Grinnell, whose address is on the form, by 15 August 2017. Our REUNION this year will be held at the Hilton Doubletree Hotel in North Charleston, SC. To check out the hotel, click here. Our special Delano Kindred room rates (before taxes) are $129/night for either a room with two double beds or a room with a king bed. The rates are good for up to 3 days prior to or 3 days after our meeting dates if rooms are available for those extra days. All rooms are non-smoking. Click here to book a room using these rates. Please leave the "Delano Kindred, Inc." box checked under "Special Accounts and Rates" and change the "Travel Dates" and "Number of Rooms and Guests" information to suit your needs. If you need a handicap-accessible room or experience any difficulty making your reservation, call the hotel directly at 843-518-6200 and remember to tell them you are part of the Delano Kindred group. Also, don?t forget to make your hotel reservations directly with the Doubletree Hotel by 15 August. This will be a very interesting and memorable event.
